1. What are the fees for Options Trading during the Post-BETA phase?

Hereโ€™s a breakdown of the fees applied to options trading:

  • Trading Fee: 0.3% of the total transaction value (minimum $3)

    • This fee applies to both buy and sell trades.

  • Exercise Fee: $5 per exercise (unchanged)

    • Charged when you exercise an options contract.

  • Auto-Liquidation Fee: 0.3% of the total transaction value (minimum $3)

    • Applies when your position is automatically closed by the system.

  • SEC Fee (Sales Only): $0.000008 per dollar of the total transaction value, rounded to the nearest cent

    • Only applies to sell trades.

  • Trading Activity Fee (TAF) (Sales Only): $0.00279 per contract

    • Applies exclusively to sell trades.

  • Options Regulatory Fee (ORF): $0.02685 per contract

    • Applies to both buy and sell trades.

  • OCC Clearing Fee: $0.02 per contract (capped at $55 per transaction)

    • Applies to both buy and sell trades.

  • JFX Fee: 0.05% of the total transaction value (capped at $0.10 per transaction)

    • Applies to both buy and sell trades.

  • VAT (Value-Added Tax): 11% of the total transaction fee + JFX fee

    • This is a government-mandated tax in Indonesia, applied to both buy and sell trades.

2. What is the Trading Fee?

The Trading Fee is a charge for every options contract you buy or sell, calculated as 0.3% of the total transaction value, with a minimum of $3.

Example Calculation:

  • For a $500 transaction: 0.3% x $500 = $1.50 โ†’ Charged $3 (minimum fee applies)

  • For a $5,000 transaction: 0.3% x $5,000 = $15 โ†’ Charged $15

3. What is the Exercise Fee?

The Exercise Fee applies when you execute (exercise) an options contract to buy or sell the underlying asset based on your contractโ€™s terms.

  • Fee: $5 per exercise, regardless of how many contracts you hold.

Note: If your options expire Out of the Money, no exercise fee is charged.

4. What is the Auto-Liquidation Fee?

This fee applies when the system automatically closes your options position to mitigate risks, such as:

  • When your contract is within 1 hour of market close on its expiry date, and you lack sufficient funds or shares for exercise.

  • If internal risk policies require automatic closure.

Fee Structure:

  • 0.3% of the total transaction value (minimum $3).

  • Important: The auto-liquidation fee replaces the trading fee โ€” you wonโ€™t be double-charged.

Example Calculation:

  • For an $800 auto-liquidation: 0.3% x $800 = $2.40 โ†’ Charged $3 (minimum fee applies).

  • For a $5,000 auto-liquidation: 0.3% x $5,000 = $15 โ†’ Charged $15

5. What are Regulatory Fees?

These are mandatory fees set by US and Indonesian market authorities to support market regulation and transparency.

a. SEC Fee (Securities and Exchange Commission) โ€” Sales Only

  • $0.000008 per dollar of the total transaction, rounded to the nearest cent.

Example:

  • $10,000 transaction โ†’ $10,000 x $0.000008 = $0.08

  • $25,540 transaction โ†’ $25,540 x $0.000008 = $0.20432 โ†’ Rounded to $0.20

b. Trading Activity Fee (TAF) โ€” Sales Only

  • $0.00279 per contract

Example:

  • 5 contracts โ†’ 5 x $0.00279 = $0.01395 โ†’ Rounded to $0.01

  • 20 contracts โ†’ 20 x $0.00279 = $0.0558 โ†’ Rounded to $0.06

c. Options Regulatory Fee (ORF)

  • $0.02685 per contract (applies to both buy and sell trades)

Example:

  • 10 contracts โ†’ 10 x $0.02685 = $0.2685 โ†’ Rounded to $0.27

  • 50 contracts โ†’ 50 x $0.02685 = $1.3425 โ†’ Rounded to $1.34

d. OCC Clearing Fee (Options Clearing Corporation)

  • $0.02 per contract, capped at $55 per transaction

Example:

  • 100 contracts โ†’ 100 x $0.02 = $2 (under cap, so $2 applies)

  • 3,000 contracts โ†’ 3,000 x $0.02 = $60 โ†’ Capped at $55

e. JFX Fee (Jakarta Futures Exchange)

  • 0.05% of the total transaction value, capped at $0.10 per transaction

Example:

  • $500 transaction โ†’ 0.05% x $500 = $0.25 โ†’ Capped at $0.10

  • $100 transaction โ†’ 0.05% x $100 = $0.05 โ†’ Charged $0.05

6. What is VAT (Value-Added Tax)?

An 11% tax applied to the total transaction fee plus the JFX fee, following Indonesian tax regulations.

Example Calculation:

  • Total transaction fees: $5

  • JFX Fee: $0.10

  • VAT: 11% x ($5 + $0.10) = $0.561 โ†’ Rounded to $0.56

7. Do these new fees apply to both existing and new positions?

Yes. All trades, exercises, and auto-liquidations made on or after February 24, 2025, will follow the new fee structure โ€” even if the positions were opened before this date.
